Presidents Message:

April 16, 2012  Dear members of NDAA:  Greetings! As your newly installed President, I am looking forward to an exciting and productive year. I would first of all like to thank immediate past President, Cindy Cronick, for leading the way for me and for being an amazing leader. Cindy truly embodies the qualities of a leader, and I am excited to have her as a part of my Advisory Board. I am also very thankful for the rest of the 2012-2013 NDAA  Board and Committee Chairs.
The 2012 Annual Session may be over, but I would like to briefly reflect on its festivities. All of our speakers did a great job, and I’m truly thankful for their time and knowledge. This year we learned about a variety of topics including: zoo dentistry, dental unit waterlines, shade matching, dental mission work, and nutrition in dentistry.
Unfortunately due to the weather, however, a few speakers had to be cancelled and many attendees had to leave early.
Our last speaker of the day on Saturday spoke on “Social Media Marketing in the Dental Office”.  It was a very current and interesting topic. If you had to miss this presentation, it can be viewed at http://mikebitter.com/NDAA.
Thank you to all that attended! Please join us in 2013 at the Cornhusker-Marriott in Lincoln, Nebraska for another exciting annual session.
Our President-Elect, Nichole Berney, is excited to put together this coming year’s education for you all! As I look to the year ahead, it is sure to be filled with anticipation and a lot of hard work. I have made it a goal to focus on student involvement and retention, as I firmly believe students are the key to our association’s sustainability and success.
I am also eager to see what the year will bring in relation to possible legislative changes to the profession of dental assisting in Nebraska! I vow to be a strong voice for this association and am honored to be your leader.
Sincerely,
Jenn Riege, CDA, BAS
NDAA President, 2012-2013
